1. The Mike Venner Memorial Scholarship Committee awarded two (2) $2,500.00  scholarships in 2008. The winners (from a pool of excellent candidates) were Cody Thom and Tera Pomroy! Congratulations to both, we know they will represent Mike's memory well. 

2. In future years, the number of scholarships available may vary, and the amount of each may vary as well, based on the total endowment and prevailing interest rates.   

3. All graduating seniors from Southwest Montana High Schools are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

4. The following must be submitted along with the scholarship candidate’s completed application:

a)     Official high school transcript which has an official seal and principal’s signature; also, transcripts of any college courses applicant may have taken, or is currently taking.

b)     Personal essay (not more than one page) discussing strengths and weaknesses, motivations, educational goals, and financial plans for meeting those goals.

c)      Three (only) letters of recommendation; two from teachers acquainted with the student; and one from an individual outside of school (not a relative).

5. Completed applications with all required information must be post-marked no later then March 31, 2008. 

Late or incomplete applications will not be eligible for scholarship consideration. Applications may be mailed to:
